Better Prices on Already Reduced Items

Today I wanted to share a small secret that I love! I am a Resident Assistant at my university and therefore do programs for residents. I also like to get involved with campaigns like Operation Christmas Child. This awesome campaign sends shoe boxes to children who might not have a Christmas otherwise.

However, I don't like to break the bank to do this. I am a college student! So, let me tell you the best place to get these little favors (think Christmas gifts without killing your budget): Oriental Trading. If you don't know about it already the company calls itself "We are the nation's largest direct merchant of value–priced party supplies, arts and crafts, toys and novelties, and a leading provider of school supplies and affordable home d├ęcor and giftware." The little secret I want to share today is the section on the site called the "Less than Perfect" sale section. This part of the site has a collection of items that might not be exactly as described. For example 12 (yes a dozen) reindeer mugs found here are only $1.49! Why? You might have to retouch their paint!

Just thought I would share this shameless money saving trick!

Local Stores

Hi Couponers!

I thought I would share a small chart I made with details on the store policies!

Store Name

Buy One Get One Free

Competitor Coupons

In most stores, each items rings up as half price and coupons can be applied to each item. You do not have to buy two items to get the deal.

Accepts them. Each store varies

Doubles coupons 50¢ or less.

Pick up or order online the Grape, Greenwise, and Family Style magazines for more coupons! Also, look out for special inserts for Publix in the newspaper

Walmart (corporate policy)

Not a common sale type (if ever).

Accepts coupons that have a final price listed on them.

Does not double.

Price matches other stores advertised deals that have a price listed. Will not match doubling of coupons or other incentives. (more information)

Must buy both items to get the sale price. Corporate says you can use two coupons, but the registers don't always take them.

Does not accept them.

Areas in Alabama and Georgia double coupons 50¢ or less. Florida locations do not double.

Sign up for the Baby Club for extra sales and coupons

Cover Girl Mega Deal

Okay, okay. I know you might be like "shut up about the Cover Girl make-up coupon." No, no I refuse. First thing, it's my blog. Second, I have some valid points =)

Guys (yes, I know you read my blog too!), Halloween is coming up! You can use the face make-up then! DUH! My old friend from Marshall County (shout out!) sent me a facebook message, confirming that the coupon can be used on face sponges too! Those are only $2.94! That means you use the $8.00/2 found in last Sunday's P&G insert and you will have over $2.00 to spend on something else!

Girls, this is a great chance to stock up on make-up!

This Sunday, I actually used the coupon to fund a charity event I did! We were able to make over 400 ribbons to support breast cancer awareness!

I actually even went to Coupons by DeDe and bought more!

Let me know how you all do!
